11 In Him we have also obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
12 so that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be to the praise of His glory.

9 and to bring to light for everyone the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its Creator.
15 We are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners,
16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we also have believed in Christ Jesus in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
14 He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify a people for His own possession, who are eager to do good works.
18 By His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.
