Then Moses said to God, 'Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, "The God of your ancestors has sent me to you," and they ask me, "What is his name?" What should I tell them?'

Than sayde Moses vnto God: when I come vnto the childern of Israell and saye vnto them, the God of youre fathers hath sent me vnto you, ad they saye vnto me, what ys his name, what answere shall I geuethem?

3 So Moses said, 'I will turn aside to see this remarkable sight—why the bush is not burning up.'
4 When the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him out of the bush and said, 'Moses, Moses!' And Moses replied, 'Here I am.'
5 God said, 'Do not come any closer. Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.'
6 Then he said, 'I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' At this, Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7 The LORD said, 'I have surely seen the affliction of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cry on account of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings.'
31 Moses was amazed at what he saw. As he approached to look more closely, he heard the voice of the Lord say,
32 'I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.' Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look closely.

13 But Moses said to the LORD, "The Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.
14 They will tell the inhabitants of this land about it. They have already heard that you, LORD, are among these people, that you, LORD, have been seen face to face, that your cloud stays over them, and that you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
1 Then Moses answered and said, 'What if they do not believe me or listen to me, but say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you’?
2 The LORD said to him, 'What is that in your hand?' Moses replied, 'A staff.'
5 'This is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.'
16 Then say to him, 'The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But so far you have not listened.'
29 that the LORD said to Moses, 'I am the LORD. Speak to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, everything I tell you.'
30 But Moses said to the LORD, 'Behold, I am unskilled in speech, so how will Pharaoh listen to me?'
18 The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you, along with the elders, must go to the king of Egypt and say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God.'
15 Moses answered his father-in-law, 'Because the people come to me to inquire of God.'
9 The LORD said to Moses, 'Behold, I am coming to you in a dense cloud so that the people may hear when I speak with you and may always believe in you.' Then Moses reported the people's words to the LORD.
3 God said, 'I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.'
17 The LORD said to Moses, 'I will do the very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.'
18 Then Moses said, 'Please show me Your glory.'
13 But Moses said, 'Pardon me, Lord. Please send someone else.'

3 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, "This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me.'
15 Moses spoke to the LORD, saying:
1 The Lord said to Moses, 'Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.’
13 The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and commanded them to speak to the Israelites and to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
