    8Say to the land of Israel, 'This is what the LORD says: Behold, I am against you. I will draw My sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

    9Because I will cut off both the righteous and the wicked, My sword will go out from its sheath against all flesh, from the south to the north.

    12And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?' you are to say, 'Because of the news that is coming; every heart will melt, every hand will go weak, every spirit will grow faint, and every knee will turn to water. Behold, it is coming, and it will happen,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

    13Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:

    18For testing is being done. What if even the scepter that despises authority will not continue? This is the declaration of the Sovereign LORD.
