  • Job 34:19-29 : 19 God shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of His hands. 20 In a moment, they die; at midnight, people are shaken and pass away, and the mighty are removed without human intervention. 21 For His eyes are on the ways of a man, and He sees all his steps. 22 There is no darkness or deep shadow where evildoers can hide themselves. 23 For He does not need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment. 24 He shatters the mighty without inquiry and sets others in their place. 25 Because He knows their deeds, He overturns them in the night, and they are crushed. 26 He strikes them down for their wickedness in a place where all can see. 27 Because they turned away from following Him and did not regard any of His ways, 28 He causes the cry of the poor to come before Him, and He hears the cry of the afflicted. 29 When He gives quietness, who can condemn? When He hides His face, who can behold Him? Yet He watches over both nation and man alike.
