3God said, 'I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.'
24Then Joseph said to his brothers, 'I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.'
17The midwives, however, feared God and did not obey the king of Egypt's command; they let the boys live.
7But they replied to him, "Why does my lord say such things? Far be it from your servants to do such a thing!
12Then Joseph said to him, 'This is its interpretation: the three branches are three days.
6Now Joseph was the ruler over the land, the one who sold grain to all its people. Joseph's brothers came and bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.
40so that they may fear You all the days they live in the land You gave to our ancestors.
35As they were emptying their sacks, there in each man's sack was his bundle of silver. When they and their father saw the bundles of silver, they were frightened.
9And he answered, "I am a Hebrew, and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land."
25Joseph gave orders to fill their bags with grain, to return each man's silver to his sack, and to give them provisions for their journey. After this was done, they loaded their grain on their donkeys and departed.
55When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried out to Pharaoh for food. Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, 'Go to Joseph and do whatever he tells you.'
