31The sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben answered, "As the Lord has said to your servants, so we will do.
32We will cross over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, but the possession of our inheritance will be on this side of the Jordan."
33Then Moses gave to the sons of Gad, the sons of Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan—the land with its cities and the territories surrounding them.

9So the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh left the other Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to return to their own land of Gilead, the land of their possession, which they had acquired at the command of the LORD through Moses.
10When they came to the regions by the Jordan in the land of Canaan, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh built a large and impressive altar there by the Jordan.

32Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest and the leaders returned from the Reubenites and the Gadites in the land of Gilead to the Israelites in the land of Canaan and brought back a report to them.
33The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they praised God. They no longer talked about going to war against them to destroy the land where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.
15When they came to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead, they spoke to them, saying:
25The sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben said to Moses, "Your servants will do just as my lord commands.
