    15 When they came to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead, they spoke to them, saying:

    16 'This is what the entire assembly of the LORD says: What is this unfaithful act you have committed against the God of Israel by turning away from following the LORD today and building for yourselves an altar, rebelling against the LORD now?
