    37You will become an object of horror, a byword, and a taunt among all the peoples to which the LORD will drive you.

    15But just as all the good things the LORD your God promised you have come to pass, so too the LORD will bring upon you the bad things He threatened, until He has destroyed you from this good land that the LORD your God has given you.

    16If you violate the covenant of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from the good land He has given you.

  • 10You shall surely give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you undertake.

  • 2All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

  • 7But you have not listened to me, declares the LORD, and you have provoked me to anger with the works of your hands, to your own harm.

  • 13I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities you did not build. You are living in them and eating from vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.

  • 1When all these things come upon you—the blessing and the curse that I have set before you—and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you,

  • 12Otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built fine houses and settled in them,

  • 26Then you may spend the money on whatever you desire: cattle, sheep, wine, strong drink, or whatever you wish. You shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice, you and your household.

  • 28There you will serve gods made by human hands—objects of wood and stone that cannot see, hear, eat, or smell.

  • 32But in this matter, you did not trust in the LORD your God,

  • 30When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice.

  • 14Behold, my servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from the pain of your hearts and wail from a broken spirit.

  • 33A people you don’t know will eat the fruit of your land and the result of your labor. You will be oppressed and crushed continually.

  • 4You will let go of your inheritance that I gave to you, and I will make you serve your enemies in a land you do not know, because you have kindled a fire in my anger that will burn forever.

  • 12They served idols, about which the Lord had said to them, 'You shall not do this thing.'
