8Even at Horeb, you provoked the LORD to anger, and the LORD was angry enough with you to destroy you.

19Then we set out from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw, on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us. And we came to Kadesh-barnea.
13But if you say, 'We will not stay in this land,' and do not listen to the voice of the LORD your God,
11'None of the men who came up from Egypt, twenty years old and older, will see the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not fully followed Me—
19You, in Your great mercy, did not abandon them in the wilderness. During the day, the pillar of cloud did not depart to guide them on their way, nor did the pillar of fire by night to give them light for the path they should take.
40But they would not listen. Instead, they continued to act according to their former customs.
10And I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live.’ But you did not listen to my voice.
16But they, our ancestors, acted arrogantly. They stiffened their necks and did not obey Your commandments.
17They refused to listen and did not remember the wonders You performed among them. They stiffened their necks and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in faithful love, and You did not abandon them.
15If you turn away from following Him, He will abandon them again in the wilderness, and you will bring destruction on all these people."
14But they would not listen. Instead, they hardened their necks like their fathers who did not believe in the Lord their God.
29Then I said to you, 'Do not be terrified or afraid of them.'
7The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.
21I have told you today, but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God or anything He has sent me to tell you.
11The LORD said to Moses, "How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, despite all the signs I have performed among them?
4Do not worship the Lord your God in the same way that they worship their gods.
17Have you not brought this upon yourself by forsaking the LORD your God when he led you in the way?
2But you must not make a covenant with the people who live in this land. Instead, you are to break down their altars. Yet you have not obeyed me. What is this that you have done?'
30But I know that you and your officials still do not fear the Lord God.
1Then Moses answered and said, 'What if they do not believe me or listen to me, but say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you’?
2Know today that it was not your children, who did not know and have not seen, but you who witnessed the discipline of the LORD your God—His greatness, His strong hand, and His outstretched arm.
13For because you did not carry it the first time, the LORD our God broke out against us, since we did not seek Him according to the proper procedure."
16Do not test the LORD your God as you did at Massah.
4Your clothing did not wear out, nor did your feet swell during these forty years.
42Do not go up, because the LORD is not with you; you will be defeated by your enemies.'
3You have not abandoned your brothers these many days up until today, but you have been careful to keep the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.
