5 They said, "If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan."

31 Then Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, said to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the Manassites, 'Today we know that the LORD is among us because you have not committed this act of treachery against Him. Instead, you have rescued the Israelites from the LORD's hand.'
32 Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest and the leaders returned from the Reubenites and the Gadites in the land of Gilead to the Israelites in the land of Canaan and brought back a report to them.
33 The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they praised God. They no longer talked about going to war against them to destroy the land where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.
34 And the Reubenites and the Gadites named the altar 'A Witness Between Us that the LORD is God.'
16 They answered Joshua, saying, “We will do everything you have commanded us, and we will go wherever you send us.
12 The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over, armed for battle, in front of the Israelites, as Moses had directed them.
9 So the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh left the other Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to return to their own land of Gilead, the land of their possession, which they had acquired at the command of the LORD through Moses.
8 Therefore, keep the words of this covenant and do them, so that you may prosper in all that you do.
12 To the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said:
1 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
16 Then they approached him and said, "We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock and cities for our children.
17 But we will arm ourselves quickly and go before the Israelites until we bring them to their place. Meanwhile our children will stay in fortified cities, safe from the inhabitants of the land.
18 We will not return to our homes until every Israelite has received their inheritance.
20 Moses said to them, "If you will do this—if you arm yourselves for battle before the Lord,
21 and all your armed men cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies from His presence—
8 The other half-tribe, along with the Reubenites and the Gadites, has already received the inheritance that Moses gave them beyond the Jordan to the east, as the servant of the LORD had assigned to them.
41 Then you answered me and said, 'We have sinned against the LORD. We will go up and fight, just as the LORD our God commanded us.' So each of you strapped on his weapons of war and thought it would be easy to go up into the hill country.
32 If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives to us."
14 And you answered me and said, 'What you have proposed is good for us to do.'
12 At that time, we took possession of this land, from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Valley, and half of the hill country of Gilead with its towns, and I gave them to the Reubenites and the Gadites.
11 Then the Israelites heard it said, 'Look, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar on the border of the land of Canaan, by the region of the Jordan, on the Israelite side.'
8 And all the people answered together, saying, 'We will do everything the LORD has spoken.' Moses brought their words back to the LORD.
24 The people said to Joshua, "We will serve the LORD our God and obey His voice.
16 The people replied, "Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
12 The whole assembly responded with a loud voice, "You are right! We must do as you say.
16 To the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the land extending from Gilead to the Arnon Valley, with the valley as the border, as far as the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.
16 Surely all the wealth that God took away from our father belongs to us and our children. So do whatever God has told you to do.'
10 The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, 'The Lord is our witness; we will certainly do as you say.'
13 But if you say, 'We will not stay in this land,' and do not listen to the voice of the LORD your God,
21 But the people said to Joshua, "No! We will serve the LORD.
