Moses said to them, "If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben cross the Jordan with you, every man armed for battle before the Lord, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead as a possession.

22then the land will be subdued before the Lord, and afterward you may return and be free from obligation to the Lord and Israel. This land will then be your possession before the Lord.
12The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over, armed for battle, in front of the Israelites, as Moses had directed them.
9So the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh left the other Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to return to their own land of Gilead, the land of their possession, which they had acquired at the command of the LORD through Moses.
25The sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben said to Moses, "Your servants will do just as my lord commands.
26Our children, wives, livestock, and all our animals will remain here in the cities of Gilead,
27but your servants, every armed man of war, will cross over before the Lord to battle, just as my lord says."
28So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes of Israel.

13“Remember the command that Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave you when he said: ‘The LORD your God will give you rest and will give you this land.’
14Your wives, your children, and your livestock may remain in the land that Moses gave you on the east side of the Jordan. But you, all your strong warriors, fully armed, must cross ahead of your brothers and help them.
15Until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as He has given you, and they also take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving them, then you may return to the land of your possession and settle it—the land that Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.
24Similarly, Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the descendants of Gad according to their clans:
25Their territory included Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, which is near Rabbah.
1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
15When they came to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead, they spoke to them, saying:

39The sons of Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead, captured it, and drove out the Amorites who were there.
40So Moses gave Gilead to Machir son of Manasseh, and he settled there.
16To the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the land extending from Gilead to the Arnon Valley, with the valley as the border, as far as the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.
16The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
21Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh replied to the heads of the clans of Israel:
7Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel: 'Be strong and courageous, for you will bring this people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors to give them, and you shall divide it among them as their inheritance.'
43The cities were Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.
3So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke to them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River near Jericho, saying,
14For the tribe of the Reubenites by their ancestral clans, the tribe of the Gadites by their ancestral clans, and half the tribe of Manasseh have taken their inheritance.
7The Levites will not have a portion among you, because the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance east of the Jordan, which Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave them.
32These are the portions of land that Moses distributed as inheritances on the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan east of Jericho.
31For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you. You will take possession of it and live in it.
49Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho. View the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites as a possession.
3So Moses said to the people, 'Arm some of your men for battle, to go against Midian and execute the LORD's vengeance on Midian.'
29as the descendants of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for me—until I cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.'
4And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, just as He promised them. So now turn and go back to your tents in the land of your possession, which Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave you beyond the Jordan.
