22 Joshua said to the people, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD." And they said, "We are witnesses."

9 They answered him, “Your servants have come from a very distant land because of the name of the LORD your God. For we have heard of His fame and all He did in Egypt,

7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel: 'Be strong and courageous, for you will bring this people into the land that the LORD swore to their ancestors to give them, and you shall divide it among them as their inheritance.'
6 Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it may go well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God."
11 So our elders and all the inhabitants of our land told us, ‘Take provisions for the journey and go to meet them. Tell them: We are your servants; now make a treaty with us.’
21 and all your armed men cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies from His presence—
1 After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the LORD, "Who will go up first for us to fight against the Canaanites?"
27 Go near and listen to all that the LORD our God says. Then you can tell us everything the LORD our God tells you, and we will listen and obey.
14 And you answered me and said, 'What you have proposed is good for us to do.'
1 When all the people had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,
15 As the LORD had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did as instructed. He left nothing undone from all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
18 The LORD drove out all the peoples before us, including the Amorites who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, for He is our God.
23 Then the LORD gave this command to Joshua son of Nun: 'Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.'
6 They went to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel: “We have come from a distant land; now make a treaty with us.”
8 'And you are to command the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: When you reach the edge of the waters of the Jordan, stand in the Jordan.'
9 Joshua said to the Israelites, 'Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.'
27 but your servants, every armed man of war, will cross over before the Lord to battle, just as my lord says."
15 Until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as He has given you, and they also take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving them, then you may return to the land of your possession and settle it—the land that Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.
25 Then Joshua said to them, 'Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous, for this is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you fight against.'
18 At that time, I commanded you concerning all the things you were to do.
6 So Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went to their tents.
3 The LORD your God himself will cross ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall take possession of them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
16 The people replied, "Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
10 But Joshua had commanded the people, 'Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, and do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!'
