16“Command the priests carrying the ark of the testimony to come up from the Jordan.”

2“Choose twelve men from among the people, one man from each tribe,
22You are to let your children know: 'Israel crossed the Jordan here on dry ground.'
23For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea when He dried it up before us until we had crossed over.
6Joshua told the priests, 'Take up the ark of the covenant and go ahead of the people.' So they took up the ark of the covenant and went ahead of the people.
14So when the people set out from their tents to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them.
17The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firmly on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed on dry ground until the entire nation had finished crossing the Jordan.
1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

8After Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets before the LORD went forward, blowing their trumpets, and the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD followed them.

8So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, as the LORD had told Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites. They carried them over with them to their camp and set them down there.
13About forty thousand armed for battle crossed over before the LORD to the plains of Jericho, ready for war.
6After Joshua sent the people away, the Israelites went to take possession of the land, each to their own inheritance.
1After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the LORD, "Who will go up first for us to fight against the Canaanites?"
16The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
3The LORD your God himself will cross ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall take possession of them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.
21At that time, I also commanded Joshua, saying, 'Your own eyes have seen everything the LORD your God has done to these two kings. The LORD will do the same to all the kingdoms where you are crossing over.'
31For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you. You will take possession of it and live in it.
1Now Joshua had become old and advanced in years, and the LORD said to him, "You are old and advanced in years, and much of the land remains to be taken over."
