Numbers 32:2
The sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, Eleazar the priest, and the leaders of the congregation, saying:

15When they came to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead, they spoke to them, saying:

21Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh replied to the heads of the clans of Israel:
30Phinehas the priest, the leaders of the congregation, and the heads of the clans of Israel who were with him heard the words spoken by the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the Manassites, and they were pleased.
31Then Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, said to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the Manassites, 'Today we know that the LORD is among us because you have not committed this act of treachery against Him. Instead, you have rescued the Israelites from the LORD's hand.'
32Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest and the leaders returned from the Reubenites and the Gadites in the land of Gilead to the Israelites in the land of Canaan and brought back a report to them.
33The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they praised God. They no longer talked about going to war against them to destroy the land where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.
28So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes of Israel.
29Moses said to them, "If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben cross the Jordan with you, every man armed for battle before the Lord, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead as a possession.
30But if they do not cross over armed with you, they must take their possession among you in the land of Canaan."
31The sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben answered, "As the Lord has said to your servants, so we will do.
32We will cross over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, but the possession of our inheritance will be on this side of the Jordan."
33Then Moses gave to the sons of Gad, the sons of Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan—the land with its cities and the territories surrounding them.
34The sons of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, and Aroer—
2They stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders, and the entire assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, and said:
3So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke to them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River near Jericho, saying,
9So the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh left the other Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to return to their own land of Gilead, the land of their possession, which they had acquired at the command of the LORD through Moses.
11Then the Israelites heard it said, 'Look, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar on the border of the land of Canaan, by the region of the Jordan, on the Israelite side.'
12When the Israelites heard this, the whole assembly gathered at Shiloh to go to war against them.
13So the Israelites sent Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead.
1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
12To the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said:
12The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over, armed for battle, in front of the Israelites, as Moses had directed them.
3"Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon—
1The leaders of the ancestral families from the clan of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of the sons of Joseph, approached Moses and the leaders, the chiefs of the ancestral families of the Israelites.
16The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

14Then the tribe of Gad. The leader of the descendants of Gad is Eliasaph son of Reuel.
1The heads of the families of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families of the Israelite tribes.
2They spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, 'The LORD commanded through Moses to give us cities to live in, with pasture lands for our livestock.'
12They brought the captives, the plunder, and the loot to Moses, Eleazar the priest, and the congregation of Israel at the camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.
4They approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders, saying, 'The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brothers.' So, in accordance with the LORD's command, they were given an inheritance among their father's brothers.
1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
23Then the Lord said to Moses,
24Similarly, Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the descendants of Gad according to their clans:
25The LORD said to Moses,
8The other half-tribe, along with the Reubenites and the Gadites, has already received the inheritance that Moses gave them beyond the Jordan to the east, as the servant of the LORD had assigned to them.
6And the LORD said to Moses:

16Then they approached him and said, "We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock and cities for our children.
25The LORD has made the Jordan a boundary between us and you—you Reubenites and Gadites! You have no share in the LORD.’ So your descendants might cause ours to stop worshiping the LORD.
