Around his teeth is overwhelming terror. 7 His pride resides in his tightly sealed rows of shields, firmly joined together like a seal. 8 One scale is so close to another that no air can pass between them. 9 They are joined to one another; they stick together and cannot be separated. 10 His sneezes flash forth light, and his eyes are like the rays of dawn. 11 From his mouth go forth torches; sparks of fire leap out. 12 Smoke comes out of his nostrils, like a boiling pot heated over burning rushes. 13 His breath ignites coals, and a flame comes out of his mouth. 14 Strength resides in his neck, and terror dances in his presence. 15 The folds of his flesh cling tightly together; they are solid and immovable. 16 His heart is as hard as stone, even as hard as a lower millstone. 17 When he rises up, the mighty are terrified; they retreat in panic. 18 The sword that strikes him does not avail, nor does the spear, dart, or javelin. 19 He regards iron as straw and bronze as rotting wood. 20 An arrow cannot make him flee; sling stones are turned to stubble for him. 21 Clubs are regarded as stubble; he laughs at the rattling of javelins. 22 Underneath him are sharp potsherds; he spreads himself out over the mire like a threshing sledge. 23 He makes the deep boil like a pot; he stirs up the sea like a boiling ointment. 24 Behind him, he leaves a shining wake; the deep appears white as though with gray hair. 25 Nothing on earth is his equal, a creature without fear. 26 He looks down on all the lofty; he is king over all the proud.
