16Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.
37And I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.
38And it shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do what is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with you, and build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.
21For your word's sake, and according to your own heart, you have done all these great things, to make your servant know them.
4And if you will walk before Me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My judgments:
5Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom upon Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man upon the throne of Israel.
5No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
10And David went on and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

18Is not the LORD your God with you? And has he not given you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD and before his people.
17And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O God; for you have also spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18What can David say more to you for the honor of your servant? for you know your servant.
19O LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to your own heart, have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
2Moreover, in times past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who led and brought in Israel. And the LORD your God said to you, You shall shepherd my people Israel, and you shall be ruler over my people Israel.
23For my angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.

15But also you shall not cut off your kindness from my house forever: no, not when the LORD has cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.

2And now, behold, the king walks before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood until this day.
8And tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to you: yet you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in my eyes;
8And David said to Achish, But what have I done? and what have you found in your servant since I have been with you until this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
7For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hands; He knows your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.
36You have enlarged my steps under me, so that my feet did not slip.
37I have pursued my enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
37David said moreover, The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David, Go, and the LORD be with you.
30And it shall come to pass, when the LORD has done for my lord according to all the good He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel,
14And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.
9Now, O LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
41You have also given me the necks of my enemies, that I might destroy those who hate me.
