1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Receive us; we have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have defrauded no one.
6 We are from God. He who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
20 Everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins:
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
3 That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, so that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
