27Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and do not kill it: she is the mother thereof.

And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken: for your servant Joab, he commanded me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your maidservant:
5And the king said to her, What ails you? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and my husband is dead.
6And your maidservant had two sons, and the two fought together in the field, and there was none to separate them, but one struck the other, and killed him.
7And, behold, the whole family has risen against your maidservant, and they said, Deliver him who struck his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall extinguish my last remaining ember, and shall not leave to my husband either name or remnant on the earth.
8And the king said to the woman, Go to your house, and I will give orders concerning you.
16And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, you shall embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your maidservant.
17And the woman conceived, and bore a son at that season that Elisha had said to her, according to the time of life.
19And the midwives said to Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and give birth before the midwives come to them.
17Then he called his servant who attended him, and said, Put this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
28And the king said to her, What troubles you? And she answered, This woman said to me, Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.
