19 And you have this day rejected your God, who Himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, No, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.
22 And Samuel said, Does the LORD have as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.
15 But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he did not keep; and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;
14 And he did not inquire of the LORD. Therefore He killed him and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.
