12 For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you an opportunity to boast on our behalf, so that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
13 For if we are out of our minds, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if one died for all, then all died:
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and rose again.
16 Therefore from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer.
8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed beyond measure, above strength, so much that we despaired even of life.
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.
10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
18 For the preaching of the cross is to those who perish foolishness; but to us who are saved it is the power of God.
6 And if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 The punishment inflicted by many is sufficient for such a person.
2 Certainly not. How shall we who are dead to sin live any longer in it?
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are honored, but we are despised.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who commit such things.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also loved us, and gave himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
4 But as we were allowed by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness:
6 Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many abound to the glory of God.
16 For this reason we do not lose heart; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not of us.
16 For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
11 This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him;
11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
36 As it is written: 'For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.'
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart;
3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die and live with you.
16 Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, you are the servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
30 And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour?
2 You are our letter written in our hearts, known and read by all men.
6 For this reason was the gospel preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
4 Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
