15And when the servant of the man of God arose early, and went out, behold, an army surrounded the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! what shall we do?
14And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and struck the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? And when he also had struck the waters, they divided here and there: and Elisha went over.
15And when the sons of the prophets who were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
16And they said to him, Behold now, there are with your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master: lest perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, You shall not send.
17And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but did not find him.
18And when they came again to him, (for he waited at Jericho,) he said to them, Did I not say to you, Do not go?
19And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold, I pray you, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees: but the water is bad, and the ground barren.
20And he said, Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it. And they brought it to him.
31Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall remain on him today.
32But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man ahead of him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, Do you see how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?
33And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down to him: and he said, Behold, this evil is from the LORD; what should I wait for the LORD any longer?
6And he said to him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honorable man; all that he says surely comes to pass: now let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way we should go.
4And Elijah said to him, Elisha, stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.
6And Elijah said to him, Stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they both went on.

2And when you arrive there, look for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him rise from among his brothers, and carry him to an inner chamber;
15And the LORD said to him, Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.
10Then Saul said to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
11And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said to them, Is the seer here?
12And they answered them and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he came today to the city; for there is a sacrifice of the people today in the high place.
26And he said to him, Did not my heart go with you, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive clothing, olive groves, and vineyards, sheep, oxen, male servants, and female servants?
16And I will bring the blind by a way they do not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
12And their father said to them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, who came from Judah.
9For so was it commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way that you came.
10So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
6And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter reaches you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.
14And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said to him, Are you the man of God that came from Judah? And he said, I am.
25And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.

7And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, "The man of God is come here."

20And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray you, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. And he said to him, Go back again, for what have I done to you?
6And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, Thus says the LORD, Is it not because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but shall surely die.
