    11 And it shall be, if it makes you answer of peace, and opens to you, then it shall be, that all the people that are found within shall be tributaries to you, and they shall serve you.

    12 And if it will not make peace with you, but will make war against you, then you shall besiege it:

    13 And when the LORD your God has delivered it into your hands, you shall strike every male of it with the edge of the sword:

    14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil of it, you shall take for yourself; and you shall eat the spoil of your enemies, which the LORD your God has given you.

    15 You shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.

    16 And you shall gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shall burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every bit, for the LORD your God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.

  • 18 But all the young women who have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

  • 19 But your wives, your little ones, and your livestock (for I know that you have much livestock), shall remain in your cities which I have given you;

  • 2 Then your elders and your judges shall come forth, and they shall measure to the cities which are around him that is slain;

  • 19 And you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up all the springs of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones."

  • 24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled, which I cast out before you.

  • 22 And the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you little by little: you may not consume them all at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon you.

  • 14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the livestock, the children of Israel took for a prey to themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, leaving none that breathed.
