    1Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and laying himself down before the house of God, a very large assembly of men, women, and children gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly.

    2And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra, We have sinned against our God and have taken foreign wives from the peoples of the land, yet now there is hope for Israel in this matter.

  • 10You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do His commandments and His statutes, which I command you today.

  • 14And the Levites shall speak, and say to all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

  • 24And the people said to Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

  • 10You shall do according to the decision they give you at the place which the LORD chooses, and you shall be careful to do according to all that they instruct you.
