  • Ps 40:1-9 : 1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. 3 And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God: many shall see it and fear and shall trust in the LORD. 4 Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be counted in order to You: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. 6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; my ears You have opened: burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. 7 Then I said, Behold, I come: in the scroll of the book it is written of me, 8 I delight to do Your will, O my God: yes, Your law is within my heart. 9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: behold, I have not restrained my lips, O LORD, You know. 10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation: I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great congregation. 11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. 12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me: my iniquities have taken hold of me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head: therefore my heart fails me. 13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. 14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame who wish me evil. 15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame who say to me, Aha, aha. 16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You: let such as love Your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. 17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.
  • Ps 77:7-9 : 7 Will the Lord cast off forever? and will He be favorable no more? 8 Is His mercy completely gone forever? Does His promise fail forevermore? 9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah. 10 And I said, This is my infirmity; but I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High. 11 I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
  • Ps 103:1-9 : 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; 4 Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and rich in mercy. 9 He will not always rebuke: nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and its place remembers it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children; 18 To those who keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them. 19 The LORD has prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His commandments, listening to the voice of His word. 21 Bless the LORD, all you His hosts; you ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
  • Ps 106:1-9 : 1 Praise the LORD. O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever. 2 Who can declare the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise? 3 Blessed are they who keep judgment and he who does righteousness at all times. 4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favor you bear unto your people. O visit me with your salvation; 5 That I may see the good of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance. 6 We have sinned with our ancestors, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. 7 Our ancestors did not understand your wonders in Egypt; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies, but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red Sea. 8 Nevertheless, he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power known. 9 He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. 10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. 11 And the waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left. 12 Then they believed his words; they sang his praise. 13 They soon forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel. 14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. 15 And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul. 16 They also envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD. 17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. 18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. 19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped the molten image. 20 Thus they changed their glory into the likeness of an ox that eats grass. 21 They forgot God their savior, who had done great things in Egypt; 22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea. 23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. 24 Yes, they despised the pleasant land, they did not believe his word. 25 But murmured in their tents, and did not listen to the voice of the LORD. 26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness. 27 To overthrow their descendants also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands. 28 They joined themselves also to Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. 29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions, and the plague broke out among them. 30 Then Phinehas stood up and executed judgment, and so the plague was stopped. 31 And that was accounted unto him for righteousness unto all generations forevermore. 32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went badly with Moses for their sakes; 33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke rashly with his lips. 34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them. 35 But they were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 36 And they served their idols, which were a snare to them. 37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, 38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood. 39 Thus they were defiled with their own works, and played the harlot with their own inventions. 40 Therefore the wrath of the LORD was kindled against his people, so much so that he abhorred his own inheritance. 41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and those who hated them ruled over them. 42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. 43 Many times he delivered them, but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. 44 Nevertheless, he regarded their affliction when he heard their cry. 45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and relented according to the multitude of his mercies. 46 He made those who carried them captives to pity them. 47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks to your holy name, and to triumph in your praise. 48 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen. Praise the LORD.
  • Ps 116:1-9 : 1 I love the LORD, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. 2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. 3 The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the pains of hell took hold of me: I found trouble and sorrow. 4 Then I called upon the name of the LORD: O LORD, I beg You, deliver my soul. 5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yes, our God is merciful. 6 The LORD preserves the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me. 7 Return to your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. 8 For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. 9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living. 10 I believed, therefore I have spoken: I was greatly afflicted. 11 I said in my haste, All men are liars. 12 What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. 14 I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all His people. 15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. 16 O LORD, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid: You have loosed my bonds. 17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. 18 I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all His people, 19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
