7And also I have withheld the rain from you, when there were still three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece where it did not rain withered.
8So two or three cities wandered to one city to drink water, but they were not satisfied: yet you have not returned to me, says the LORD.
9I have struck you with blight and mildew: when your gardens, your vineyards, your fig trees, and your olive trees increased, the locust devoured them: yet you have not returned to me, says the LORD.
12Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the LORD.
14That I will give you the rain of your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil.
15And I will send grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full.
17I struck you with blight and mildew and hail in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me, says the LORD.
19Is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. From this day I will bless you.
20And again the word of the LORD came to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,
21Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
17The seed shrivels under their clods, the storehouses are desolate, the barns are broken down; for the grain is withered.
18How the animals groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yes, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
17And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and He shuts up the heaven, so there is no rain, and the land yields no fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD gives you.
1In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by the prophet Haggai, saying,
38A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of carved images, and they are mad upon their idols.
11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; nor shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field, says the LORD of hosts.
17Though the fig tree shall not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls.

1In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people;
11They make oil within their walls and tread their winepresses, and still they thirst.
11Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
5The Lord GOD of hosts, he who touches the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn; and it shall rise up wholly like a flood, and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
6And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but briers and thorns shall come up: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
15I will lay waste the mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
10On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
1Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make bright clouds and give them showers of rain, to everyone grass in the field.
28If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is:
4He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers: Bashan languishes, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languishes.
10For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled; they are gone.
4Because the ground is cracked, for there was no rain on the earth, the farmers were ashamed, they covered their heads.
3Therefore the land shall mourn, and everyone that dwells therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven; yes, the fish of the sea also shall be taken away.
2Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink because there is no water and die for thirst.
1For indeed, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah the support and the staff, the whole support of bread and the whole support of water,
20The animals of the field cry also to you: for the rivers are dried up, and the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
3Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
17And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like refuse.
13Son of man, when the land sins against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out my hand upon it and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it;
5Awake, you drunkards, and weep; and howl, all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
10And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
24And the threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
6You have sown much, and bring in little; you eat, but do not have enough; you drink, but are not filled; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes.
16And he said, "Thus says the LORD: 'Make this valley full of ditches.'
