Then the LORD said to Isaiah, Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the fuller's field;

2And it was reported to the house of David, saying, Syria is allied with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moved with the wind.
3And I went to the prophetess; and she conceived and bore a son. Then the LORD said to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.
4For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
5The LORD spoke also to me again, saying,
6Because this people refuses the waters of Shiloah that flow softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;
7Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
7So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come up and save me from the hand of the king of Syria and from the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.
4Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying,
5Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:
17The LORD shall bring upon you, and upon your people, and upon your father's house, days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

9The king of Assyria heeded him, for he went up against Damascus, captured it, and carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.
10Then king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria and saw an altar that was at Damascus; and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the design of the altar and its pattern, according to all its workmanship.

5Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz but could not overcome him.
8And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?
9And Isaiah said, This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
22Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
12In that day also he shall come to you from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
11And Isaiah the prophet cried to the LORD, and He brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
1In those days Hezekiah was sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, Thus says the LORD: Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.
7And this shall be a sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He has spoken:

16Now therefore hear the word of the LORD: You say, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not preach against the house of Isaac.
16Do not listen to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria: Make peace with me by a present, and come out to me, and every one of you eat from his own vine and his own fig tree and drink the waters of his own cistern,
