6At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath for Syria, and drove the Jews from Elath; the Syrians came to Elath and have dwelt there to this day.
7So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come up and save me from the hand of the king of Syria and from the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.
9The king of Assyria heeded him, for he went up against Damascus, captured it, and carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.
37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
6For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
17The LORD shall bring upon you, and upon your people, and upon your father's house, days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

10The bricks have fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.
11Therefore the LORD will set up the adversaries of Rezin against him and join his enemies together;
12The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
11Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants, and said to them, Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?
5The LORD spoke also to me again, saying,
6Because this people refuses the waters of Shiloah that flow softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;
7Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
5Therefore, the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria, and they struck him and carried away a great multitude as captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with a great slaughter.
15For the LORD shall strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall uproot Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
7Behold, I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
8Then the king of Syria waged war against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
17And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and crossed over Jordan, and came upon them and set the battle in array against them. So when David had set the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.

3The fortress shall also cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of hosts.
2And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.
5Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:
18He also removed the sabbath canopy they had built in the house, and the king's outer entry, from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.

5He also followed their counsel and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram.
21For Ahaz took a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the leaders, and gave it to the king of Assyria, but he did not help him.
3The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad, the son of Hazael, all their days.
