And say to him, Be careful and be quiet; do not fear, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and the son of Remaliah.

5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have devised evil against you, saying,
6 Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a breach in it for ourselves, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:

6 And Isaiah said to them, Thus shall you say to your master, Thus says the LORD, Do not be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
7 Behold, I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within sixty-five years Ephraim shall be broken, that it will not be a people.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.
10 Moreover, the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,
9 The king of Assyria heeded him, for he went up against Damascus, captured it, and carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.
5 Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz but could not overcome him.
7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come up and save me from the hand of the king of Syria and from the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.
4 For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
5 The LORD spoke also to me again, saying,
6 Because this people refuses the waters of Shiloah that flow softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;
7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
37 In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
11 Therefore the LORD will set up the adversaries of Rezin against him and join his enemies together;
24 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian: he shall strike you with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
10 Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not your God, in whom you trust, deceive you, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by utterly destroying them; and shall you be delivered?

21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Because you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:
16 And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
4 And it came to pass, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 And he shall pass over to his stronghold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the banner, says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and His furnace in Jerusalem.
4 Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you.
20 You say (but they are only vain words) I have counsel and strength for war. Now in whom do you trust, that you rebel against me?
15 Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
3 The fortress shall also cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of hosts.
4 And Rabshakeh said to them, Say now to Hezekiah, Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: What confidence is this in which you trust?
5 I say that your words are empty: I have counsel and strength for war. Now in whom do you trust, that you rebel against me?
30 Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be handed over to the king of Assyria.
28 In the year that King Ahaz died was this burden.
17 Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.
