7 Then I said to them, Cast away every man the abominations of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
29 Why do you scorn my sacrifice and my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?

28 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
29 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the LORD shall bring his offering to the LORD from the sacrifice of his peace offerings.
35 The LORD made a covenant with them, and commanded them, saying, You shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them.
22 And Samuel said, Does the LORD have as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

13 And now, because you have done all these works, says the LORD, and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not listen; and I called you, but you did not answer;
31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I did not command, nor did it enter into my heart.
21 One young bull, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:
39 These things you shall do to the LORD in your appointed feasts, besides your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
14 I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I taken away any of it for any unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead: but I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that you have commanded me.
26 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
31 For when you offer your gifts, when you make your sons to pass through the fire, you pollute yourselves with all your idols, even to this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.
12 For they served idols, of which the LORD had said to them, You shall not do this thing.
22 And they will answer, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity upon them.
9 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
15 Also, before they burned the fat, the priest's servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, Give meat to roast for the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw.
