4But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty storm in the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken.
5Then the mariners were afraid, and every man cried to his god, and they threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten it. But Jonah had gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
6So the shipmaster came to him, and said to him, What do you mean, O sleeper? arise, call upon your God, perhaps that God will consider us, that we do not perish.
7And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
8Then they said to him, Tell us, we pray you, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is your occupation? and from where do you come? what is your country? and of what people are you?
16Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice to the LORD, and made vows.
17Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

25For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves.
26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
18And the sea arose because of a great wind that blew.
23But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in danger.
24And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
17Which when they had taken up, they used aids to undergird the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, they lowered the sail, and so were driven.
18And being exceedingly tossed by a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;
26And he said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
37And a great storm of wind arose, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
40And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves to the sea, loosed the rudder bands, and hoisted the mainsail to the wind, and made for shore.
41And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the bow stuck fast, and remained immovable, but the stern was broken up by the violence of the waves.
24And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
8And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a scorching east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, so that he fainted and wished to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
3For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas; and the floods surrounded me, all Your waves and billows passed over me.
38And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship and threw the wheat into the sea.
6And when they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net began to break.
15They take up all of them with a hook, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their dragnet; therefore they rejoice and are glad.
9You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.
5The depths have covered them: they sank to the bottom like a stone.
41And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
17Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
7Who stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
11You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and You threw their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.
4Then the LORD said, Do you do well to be angry?
