16 And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
7 And Gideon said, Therefore, when the LORD has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
8 And he went up from there to Penuel, and spoke to them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.
21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.
22 Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, Rule over us, both you, and your son, and your grandson also: for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian.
7 And the LORD said to Gideon, By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you and deliver the Midianites into your hand; let all the other people go every man to his place.
8 So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets, and he sent all the rest of Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men; and the Midianite army was below him in the valley.
9 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said to him, Arise, go down to the army, for I have delivered it into your hand.
2 And the LORD said to Gideon, The people with you are too many for me to hand the Midianites over to you, lest Israel boast against me, saying, My own hand has saved me.
36 And Gideon said unto God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,
14 And his friend answered and said, This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; for God has delivered Midian and all the army into his hand.
25 And they captured two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they killed Oreb on the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they killed at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued the Midianites, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side of Jordan.
6 We have given our hand to the Egyptians and to the Assyrians to be satisfied with bread.
4 And they will greet you, and give you two loaves of bread; which you shall receive from their hands.

18 Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, What kind of men were they whom you killed at Tabor? And they answered, As you are, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.
25 And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and each man threw the earrings of his spoil into it.
3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the produce of the earth till you come to Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor donkey.
11 Therefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, Take provisions with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say to them, We are your servants: therefore now make a treaty with us.
19 And Gideon went in, and prepared a young goat, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: he put the meat in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
33 Then all the Midianites, the Amalekites, and the children of the east gathered together, went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
29 And they said one to another, Who has done this thing? And when they inquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.
3 Now therefore, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatever there is present.
8 And they came to their brethren in Zorah and Eshtaol, and their brethren said to them, What do you say?
22 Now therefore, please listen also to the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a morsel of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way.
27 And he said, If the LORD does not help you, how shall I help you? from the threshing floor, or from the winepress?
9 Do to them as to the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kishon:
38 Then Zebul said to him, Where is your mouth now, with which you said, Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him? Are not these the people you despised? Go out now, I pray, and fight with them.
17 Jesse said to David his son, Take for your brothers an ephah of this parched grain and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to your brothers.
16 Now therefore, if you have dealt truly and sincerely, in that you have made Abimelech king, and if you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done to him according to what he deserved—
9 And when they forgot the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the army of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.
7 And I will draw Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude, to you at the river Kishon, and I will deliver him into your hand.
