8Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stump dies in the ground;
9Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.
11The tree grew and was strong, and its height reached unto heaven, and its sight to the end of all the earth.
12Its leaves were beautiful, and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all; the beasts of the field had shade under it, and the birds of the heaven dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.
5Therefore its height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long because of the multitude of waters as it spread out.

13I will surely consume them, says the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall wither; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
8I said, I will climb the palm tree, I will take hold of its branches. Now let your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the fragrance of your breath like apples;
8Yes, the pine trees rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since you are laid down, no woodcutter comes up against us.
24And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
33He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and cast off his flower as the olive.
