  • Ps 22:1-9 : 1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3 But You are holy, O You who inhabit the praises of Israel. 4 Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them. 5 They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not disappointed. 6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. 7 All who see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8 He trusted in the LORD that He would deliver him; let Him deliver him, since He delighted in him. 9 But You are He who took me out of the womb; You made me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. 10 I was cast upon You from the womb; You are my God from my mother’s belly. 11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near, for there is none to help. 12 Many bulls have surrounded me; strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 They gaped at me with their mouths, like a ravening and roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within me. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue clings to my jaws; You have brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me; they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones; they look and stare at me. 18 They divide my garments among them, and cast lots for my clothing. 19 But do not be far from me, O LORD; O my strength, hurry to help me. 20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the lion's mouth, for You have heard me from the horns of the wild oxen.
  • John 18:1-9 : 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which he entered with his disciples. 2 And Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples. 3 Then Judas, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. 4 Jesus, knowing all things that would come upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom do you seek? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them, I am he. And Judas, who betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon as he said to them, I am he, they drew back and fell to the ground. 7 Then he asked them again, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he; therefore, if you seek me, let these go their way, 9 that the saying might be fulfilled which he spoke, Of those whom you gave me I have lost none. 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 Then Jesus said to Peter, Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which my Father has given me? 12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound him, 13 and led him away to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that year. 14 Now Caiaphas was he who gave counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. 15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. That disciple was known to the high priest and went in with Jesus into the high priest's palace. 16 But Peter stood outside at the door. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in. 17 Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, Are you not also one of this man's disciples? He said, I am not. 18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself. 19 The high priest then asked Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.
  • Lev 1:6 : 6 And he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.
  • Mark 14:1-9 : 1 After two days was the feast of the Passover and of Unleavened Bread; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by deceit and kill him. 2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. 3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at dinner, there came a woman with an alabaster box of very precious ointment of spikenard; and she broke the box and poured it on his head. 4 And there were some who had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and given to the poor. And they murmured against her. 6 And Jesus said, Leave her alone; why do you trouble her? She has done a good work on me. 7 For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you will you may do them good; but me you do not have always. 8 She has done what she could; she has come beforehand to anoint my body for the burial. 9 Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of in memory of her. 10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray him to them. 11 And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him. 12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples said to him, Where do you want us to go and prepare that you may eat the Passover? 13 And he sent forth two of his disciples and said to them, Go into the city, and there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. 14 And wherever he goes in, say to the owner of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest room where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples? 15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared; there make ready for us.
