35But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.
45But if that servant says in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and begins to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and be drunk;
46The lord of that servant will come in a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
25When once the master of the house has arisen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us; and he will answer and say to you, I do not know you, where you are from:
6Therefore let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch and be sober.

15Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

16Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those who nurse at the breast. Let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of her room.
