Then the king said to me, What do you request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

9 Then I went to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me.
1 And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, that wine was before him, and I took the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had not been sad in his presence previously.
2 Therefore the king said to me, Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart. Then I was very much afraid,
3 And said to the king, Let the king live forever. Why should my face not be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' tombs, lies waste, and its gates are consumed with fire?
2 That Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
3 And they said to me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.
4 And it happened, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
5 And said, I beg you, O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy for those that love Him and observe His commandments:
6 Let Your ear now be attentive, and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant, which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against You: both I and my father's house have sinned.
11 O Lord, I beg You, let now Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants, who desire to fear Your name: and prosper, I pray You, Your servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.
8 Be it known to the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is being built with great stones, and timber is being laid in the walls, and this work is going on rapidly and prospers in their hands.
9 Then we asked those elders and said to them, Who commanded you to build this house and to finish these walls?
7 Then Esther answered and said, My petition and my request is:
17 Then I said to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come, let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.
18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me, and also the king's words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
39 Then hear from the heavens, even from your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
40 Now, my God, I beseech you, let your eyes be open, and let your ears be attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
28 And has extended mercy to me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered chief men from Israel to go up with me.
22 For I was ashamed to request from the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to protect us against the enemy on the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek him; but his power and his wrath are against all who forsake him.
23 So we fasted and prayed to our God for this, and he answered us.
10 That they may offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and of his sons.
9 And said to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him;
20 And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my petition before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
15 And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD, saying,
19 Have respect therefore to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and the prayer which your servant prays before you:
25 For you, O my God, have told your servant that you will build him a house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray before you.
4 Then we said to them in this manner, What are the names of the men who are building this building?
28 Yet have respect to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you today:
17 Now therefore, if it pleases the king, let a search be made in the king's treasure house, which is there in Babylon, to see whether a decree was made by king Cyrus to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his decision to us concerning this matter.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and cause Your face to shine upon Your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 O my God, incline Your ear, and hear; open Your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name: for we do not present our supplications before You for our righteousness, but for Your great mercies.
2 Then he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying,
20 Then I answered them and said to them, The God of heaven will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build; but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial in Jerusalem.
23 I thank you, and praise you, O God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might, and has made known to me now what we desired of you: for you have now made known to us the king's matter.
23 And I pleaded with the LORD at that time, saying,
19 Remember me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.
16 Then Daniel went in and requested of the king that he would give him time, and that he would show the king the interpretation.
8 Moreover I make a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that from the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, expenses be given to these men, so that they are not hindered.
21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the river, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
4 And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps the covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed to the LORD,
15 Now therefore I have come to speak of this thing to my lord the king, because the people have made me afraid: and your maidservant said, I will now speak to the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his maidservant.
11 And they returned an answer to us, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the house that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and set up.
1 Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity were building the temple to the LORD God of Israel,
3 Then the king said to her, What do you want, Queen Esther? And what is your request? It shall be given to you, even to the half of the kingdom.
