- Exod 28:1-2 : 1 Now bring near to you your brother Aaron and his sons from among the Israelites, to serve me as priests—Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron. 2 Make holy garments for your brother Aaron, for glory and beauty.

- Exod 28:29-38 : 29 Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he shall carry the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision, as a continual memorial before the LORD. 30 Place the Urim and the Thummim into the breastpiece of decision, so they will be over Aaron's heart whenever he comes before the LORD. Thus, Aaron will carry the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the LORD continually. 31 You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue fabric. 32 It shall have an opening for the head in its center, with a woven edge around the opening, like a collar, to prevent it from being torn. 33 Make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, alternating with gold bells in between them. 34 The gold bells and the pomegranates shall alternate around the hem of the robe. 35 Aaron must wear it when he serves, so the sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the LORD and when he comes out, so that he will not die. 36 Make a pure gold medallion and engrave on it, like a seal: 'Holy to the LORD.' 37 Fasten it to the turban with a blue cord, and it shall be on the front of the turban. 38 It shall be on Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall bear the guilt of the holy things that the Israelites consecrate as their sacred gifts. It shall always be on his forehead, so they may find acceptance before the LORD.
- Exod 29:5-9 : 5 Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastpiece. Fasten the ephod for him with its skillfully woven waistband. 6 Then place the turban on his head and put the sacred crown on the turban. 7 Take the anointing oil and pour it on his head, anointing him. 8 Then bring his sons forward and clothe them with tunics. 9 Gird them with sashes, both Aaron and his sons, and fasten caps on their heads. The priesthood shall be theirs by a lasting statute. In this way, you shall ordain Aaron and his sons. 10 Bring the bull to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. 11 Slaughter the bull before the Lord at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 12 Take some of the bull’s blood, and with your finger, put it on the horns of the altar. Pour out all the remaining blood at the base of the altar. 13 Then take all the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar. 14 But burn the flesh of the bull, its hide, and its refuse outside the camp. It is a sin offering. 15 Take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. 16 Slaughter the ram, take its blood, and sprinkle it around the altar. 17 Cut the ram into pieces, wash its entrails and legs, and place them with its head and other pieces. 18 Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord. 19 Then take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. 20 Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, on the lobes of his sons’ right ears, and on the thumbs of their right hands and the big toes of their right feet. Sprinkle the remaining blood around the altar. 21 Take some of the blood on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and also on his sons and their garments. In this way, Aaron, his sons, and their garments will be consecrated. 22 Take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh—for it is a ram of ordination. 23 Along with one loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread set before the Lord. 24 You shall place all of these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and wave them as a wave offering before the Lord. 25 Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering as a pleasing aroma before the Lord, an offering made by fire to the Lord. 26 Take the breast of the ram used for Aaron’s ordination and wave it as a wave offering before the Lord. This portion will be your share. 27 Consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution that were waved and lifted up from the ram of ordination, given for Aaron and his sons. 28 This will be a perpetual statute for Aaron and his sons from the Israelites, for it is a contribution. It will be a contribution from their peace offerings, their contribution to the Lord. 29 The sacred garments of Aaron shall belong to his descendants after him, so that they can be anointed and ordained in them. 30 The son who succeeds him as priest shall wear them for seven days when he enters the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place. 31 You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its meat in a holy place. 32 Aaron and his sons shall eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 33 They shall eat those things by which atonement was made to consecrate and sanctify them. But no outsider shall eat them, because they are holy. 34 If any of the meat of ordination or bread is left until morning, you must burn it, for it may not be eaten because it is holy. 35 Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them. 36 Each day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Purify the altar when you make atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it. 37 For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will become most holy, and whatever touches the altar will be holy. 38 This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two year-old lambs, one in the morning and the other at twilight. 39 Offer one lamb in the morning, and offer the second lamb at twilight. 40 With the first lamb, offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of pressed oil, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. 41 Offer the second lamb at twilight, together with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord. 42 This will be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the Lord, where I will meet you to speak with you. 43 There I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by My glory. 44 I will consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and I will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve Me as priests. 45 Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. 46 They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.
- Lev 8:7-9 : 7 He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe, and placed the ephod on him. He tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod around him, securing it in place. 8 He placed the breastpiece on Aaron and put the Urim and Thummim into the breastpiece. 9 He set the turban on his head and placed the golden plate, the holy crown, on the front of the turban, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 10 Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, consecrating them. 11 He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointed the altar and all its utensils, the basin, and its stand, to consecrate them. 12 He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him to consecrate him. 13 Then Moses brought Aaron's sons forward, clothed them with tunics, tied sashes around them, and wrapped headpieces on them, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 14 Moses brought forward the bull for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. 15 Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of its blood, and with his finger applied it to the horns of the altar on all sides, purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar to consecrate it, making atonement for it. 16 Moses took all the fat that was on the entrails, the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and burned them on the altar. 17 As for the rest of the bull—its hide, its flesh, and its dung—he burned it outside the camp, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 18 Moses presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. 19 Moses slaughtered the ram and splashed the blood on all sides of the altar. 20 He cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces, and the fat. 21 He washed the entrails and the legs with water and burned the whole ram on the altar as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 22 Moses presented the second ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. 23 Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its blood, applying it to the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, the thumb of his right hand, and the big toe of his right foot. 24 Then Moses brought forward Aaron’s sons and applied some of the blood to the lobes of their right ears, the thumbs of their right hands, and the big toes of their right feet. He splashed the remaining blood on all sides of the altar. 25 Moses took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat around the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with their fat, and the right thigh. 26 From the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord, Moses took one unleavened cake, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer. He placed them on the fat portions and on the right thigh. 27 He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them as a presentation offering before the Lord. 28 Then Moses took them back from their hands and burned them on the altar along with the burnt offering. They were an ordination offering, a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the Lord. 29 Moses took the breast and waved it as a presentation offering before the Lord. It was Moses' portion of the ram of ordination, as the Lord had commanded him. 30 Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron, his garments, his sons, and their garments. 31 Moses said to Aaron and his sons, "Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and eat it there along with the bread from the basket of ordination, as I commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons are to eat it.' 32 Burn up the remainder of the meat and bread in the fire. 33 You must not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, because it will take seven days to ordain you. 34 The Lord commanded what has been done today in order to make atonement for you. 35 You must remain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the Lord's charge so that you will not die, for this is what I was commanded. 36 Aaron and his sons did everything the Lord had commanded through Moses.
- Num 16:5-9 : 5 Then he spoke to Korah and all his followers, saying, "In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to Him, who is holy, and whom He permits to approach Him. The one He chooses, He will bring near to Himself. 6 "Do this: Take censers for yourselves, Korah and all your followers. 7 Put fire in them and place incense on them in the presence of the Lord tomorrow. The man the Lord chooses will be the holy one. You have gone too far, sons of Levi!" 8 Moses also said to Korah, "Listen now, you sons of Levi! 9 Is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has set you apart from the rest of the Israelite community to bring you near to Himself to do the work of the Lord's tabernacle and to stand before the assembly to minister to them? 10 He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near to Him, but now you are demanding the priesthood as well! 11 Therefore, it is against the Lord that you and all your followers have gathered. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"
- Num 17:5-8 : 5 It is to be a reminder to the Israelites, so that no unauthorized person—anyone who is not from Aaron’s descendants—may come near to burn incense before the LORD and become like Korah and his assembly, as the LORD had spoken to him through Moses. 6 The entire Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron the next day, saying, 'You have killed the LORD’s people!' 7 When the assembly gathered against Moses and Aaron, they turned toward the tent of meeting, and there the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. 8 Moses and Aaron went to the front of the tent of meeting.
