24 Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The Lord loved him,
6 Solomon replied, "You have shown great lovingkindness to your servant, my father David, because he walked before you in faithfulness, righteousness, and uprightness of heart. You have continued this great kindness to him by giving him a son to sit on his throne this day."
17 Then David commanded all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.
18 He said, 'Isn’t the Lord your God with you? And hasn’t He given you rest on every side? For He has handed the inhabitants of the land over to me, and the land is subdued before the Lord and His people.'
30 And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.

20 Now, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, to tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
21 Otherwise, when my lord the king rests with his ancestors, I and my son Solomon will be treated as offenders.
6 Say this to him: ‘Peace to you! Peace to your household, and peace to all that you have!’
14 I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever.
13 Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the LORD, and He will bear majesty; He will sit and rule on His throne. And He will be a priest on His throne, and there will be a peaceful council between the two of them."
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
