9 Behold, a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies around him. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.
10 He will build a house for my name, and he will be my son, and I will be his father. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.
11 Now, my son, may the Lord be with you, so that you may succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as He has spoken concerning you.
19 And give my son Solomon an undivided heart to keep your commandments, your statutes, and your decrees, and to carry out all these plans, building the temple for which I have made preparations.
20 Then David said to the whole assembly, 'Praise the LORD your God.' So the entire assembly praised the LORD, the God of their fathers; they bowed down and prostrated themselves before the LORD and the king.
