    8Provide a large amount of timber for me, because the house I am building will be great and extraordinary.

    9I will give your servants, the woodcutters who cut the timber, twenty thousand cors of crushed wheat, twenty thousand cors of barley, twenty thousand gallons of wine, and twenty thousand gallons of oil.

    10Hiram, king of Tyre, replied in writing and sent it to Solomon: "Because of the LORD's love for His people, He has made you their king."

    11Hiram said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He has given King David a wise son, endowed with insight and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a palace for himself."
