    17 King Ahaz cut off the borders of the stands and removed the basins from them. He also took down the sea from the bronze oxen that supported it and placed it on a stone pavement.

    5 He said to them, 'Listen to me, Levites! Now consecrate yourselves, and consecrate the house of the LORD, the God of your ancestors, and remove the impurity from the holy place.'

    6 For our ancestors were unfaithful and did what was evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They abandoned Him, turned their backs on His dwelling place, and walked away.
