    8 Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD.” Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, who read it.

    9 They went to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought to the house of God, which the Levites, the gatekeepers, had collected from Manasseh, Ephraim, and the remnant of Israel, as well as all Judah, Benjamin, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

    10 They gave it into the hands of the supervisors of the work being done on the house of the LORD, who then gave it to the workmen repairing and restoring the temple.

    10 Jehoiada the priest took a chest, bored a hole in its lid, and placed it beside the altar, on the right side as one enters the temple of the LORD. The priests guarding the threshold deposited into it all the money brought to the temple of the LORD.

    11 Whenever they saw there was a lot of money in the chest, the king’s scribe and the high priest would come, count the money that had been brought to the temple of the LORD, and put it into bags.
