1Then Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, 'Keep all the commandments that I am giving you today.'
33All Israel, along with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark of the covenant of the Lord, facing the Levitical priests who were carrying it. Both the sojourner and the native-born were present. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half stood in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded earlier, to bless the people of Israel.
4But all of you who held fast to the LORD your God are alive today.
11when all Israel comes to appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.'
12Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully follow all the words of this law.

18At that time, I commanded you concerning all the things you were to do.

10Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people:
1Be meticulous in observing all the commandments that I am commanding you today, so that you may live, multiply, enter, and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to your fathers.
4A man from each tribe, the head of his ancestral house, will assist you.
31But as for you, stay here with Me, so that I may give you all the commands, decrees, and laws you are to teach them to follow in the land I am giving them to possess.
13Choose for yourselves wise, discerning, and known men from your tribes, and I will appoint them as your leaders.
19'But today you have rejected your God, who delivers you from all your calamities and distresses. You have said to Him, "Set a king over us." Now present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes and clans.'
26See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse—
27the blessing if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I am giving you today,
9When the officers have finished speaking to the people, they shall appoint commanders to lead the armies at the head of the troops.
1If you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God by carefully keeping all His commandments that I am commanding you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
18At that time I commanded you: 'The LORD your God has given you this land to take possession of it. All your fighting men, fully armed, must cross over ahead of your fellow Israelites.'
13and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes that I am commanding you today for your own good?
14Your wives, your children, and your livestock may remain in the land that Moses gave you on the east side of the Jordan. But you, all your strong warriors, fully armed, must cross ahead of your brothers and help them.
46he said to them: Set your hearts on all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.
9Joshua said to the Israelites, 'Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.'
8But you are to cling to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day.
9The LORD has driven out great and powerful nations before you, and no one has been able to stand against you to this day.
2and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and soul, you and your children, according to all that I command you today,
17For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
8Therefore, keep every commandment I am giving you today, so that you may be strong and go in and take possession of the land that you are crossing over to inherit.
27but your servants, every armed man of war, will cross over before the Lord to battle, just as my lord says."
2Know today that it was not your children, who did not know and have not seen, but you who witnessed the discipline of the LORD your God—His greatness, His strong hand, and His outstretched arm.
1Moses said to the Israelites everything the LORD had commanded him.
8And what great nation has righteous statutes and judgments like this entire law that I am setting before you today?
10The LORD your God has multiplied you, and now you are as numerous as the stars in the sky.
