    1When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.

    22Let them judge the people at all times. Have them bring every difficult case to you, but have them decide simple cases themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you.

    8Surround the king on every side, each of you with your weapon in hand. Anyone who approaches your ranks must be put to death. Stay close to the king wherever he goes, whether he leaves or enters.

    9The commanders of hundreds did as Jehoiada the priest had ordered. Each of them brought his men, those coming on and those going off duty on the Sabbath, and they reported to Jehoiada the priest.

  • 17You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm, and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'
