5 Then Joshua said to the people, 'Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.'
6 Joshua told the priests, 'Take up the ark of the covenant and go ahead of the people.' So they took up the ark of the covenant and went ahead of the people.
11 'Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is passing ahead of you into the Jordan.'

8 'And you are to command the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: When you reach the edge of the waters of the Jordan, stand in the Jordan.'
9 Joshua said to the Israelites, 'Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.'
3 You and all the fighting men are to march around the city once. Do this for six days.
16 After three days, once they had made a treaty with them, the Israelites learned that these people were actually their neighbors, living among them.
4 Appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them out to survey the land and map it according to their inheritances. Then they will return to me.
22 They went to the hill country and stayed there for three days until the pursuers returned. The pursuers searched all along the road but did not find them.
23 Then the two men came down from the hill country, crossed over, and went to Joshua son of Nun. They reported to him all that had happened to them.
9 So Joshua sent them out, and they went to the ambush site, remaining between Bethel and Ai, west of Ai. Joshua spent that night among the people.
10 Joshua rose early in the morning, mustered the people, and he and the elders of Israel went up before the people to Ai.
8 The men set out, and as they went, Joshua directed those going to map the land, saying, "Go, walk through the land, write a description of it, and return to me. Then I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh."
9 So the men went and surveyed the land. They wrote a description of it by its towns in seven divisions and brought the report back to Joshua at the camp at Shiloh.
17 So Joshua commanded the priests, saying, “Come up from the Jordan.”
18 When the priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD came up from the middle of the Jordan, and their feet touched dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place and flowed over all its banks as they had before.
2 Soon the king of Jericho was told, "Some men from the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land."
