1Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, "You have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials, and to all his land.
12The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain and stay there, so I can give you the stone tablets with the law and commandments I have written to teach them."
18When the LORD finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

9Joshua also set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, under the place where the priests carrying the ark of the covenant stood, and they are there to this day.
18When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the Levitical priests.
2I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke, and you shall put them inside the ark.
