5 Now this man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and household idols, and he consecrated one of his sons to become his priest.
13 From there they continued on to the hill country of Ephraim and arrived at Micah's house.
14 Then the five men who had gone to scout out the land of Laish said to their fellow Danites, 'Do you know that in these houses there's an ephod, household gods, a carved image, and a cast idol? Now think about what you should do.'
15 So they turned aside there and went to the house of the young Levite, at Micah's house, and asked him how he was doing.
9 That is why the Levites have no share or inheritance among their brothers; the LORD Himself is their inheritance, as He promised them.
27 And do not neglect the Levite living in your towns, for he has no portion or inheritance with you.
37 We agreed to bring the firstborn of our sons and of our livestock, as written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and flocks to the house of our God, to the priests ministering there.
38 We will also bring the first of our dough, our contributions, the fruit of all our trees, our new wine, and oil to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God. Additionally, we will bring a tithe of our land to the Levites, for they collect the tithes in all the towns where we work.
36 Everyone left of your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver or a loaf of bread, and they will plead, ‘Please appoint me to some priestly office so I can have a morsel of bread to eat.’
10 He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near to Him, but now you are demanding the priesthood as well!
12 I said to them, 'If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.' So they weighed out my wages—thirty pieces of silver.
13 Then the LORD said to me, 'Throw it to the potter—the splendid price at which they valued me!' So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD to the potter.
6 If a Levite comes from any of your towns anywhere in Israel where he resides, and he desires with all his heart to go to the place that the LORD chooses,
7 then he may minister in the name of the LORD his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there before the LORD.
21 To the Levites, I have given every tithe in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting.
6 I myself have chosen your brothers, the Levites, from among the Israelites as a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD for their service at the tent of meeting.
2 Bring your brothers from the tribe of Levi, your ancestral tribe, to join you and assist you while you and your sons serve before the tent of the testimony.
9 And to say it another way, Levi, who collects tithes, also paid tithes through Abraham.
18 The man answered, "We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote parts of the hill country of Ephraim, where I am from. I have been to Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to the house of the Lord, but no one has taken me into their home.
8 If someone is too poor to pay the valuation, they shall present the individual before the priest, and the priest shall assess the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.
29 Then the Levite (because he has no portion or inheritance with you), the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
24 Micah replied, 'You’ve taken my gods that I made and my priest and gone away! What else do I have? How can you ask me, “What’s the matter with you?”'
27 The Danites took what Micah had made, along with his priest, and came to Laish, to a peaceful and unsuspecting people. They struck them down with the sword and burned the city with fire.

15 Then the prophet said to him, 'Come home with me and eat some food.'
17 And some of the elders of the land stood up and spoke to the whole assembly of the people, saying:
3 This shall be the priests' due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice: whether ox or sheep, they are to give the priest the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach.
28 He continued, 'Name your wages, and I will pay them.'
6 Bring the tribe of Levi near and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may assist him.
11 Then you shall rejoice in all the good things the LORD your God has given you and your household—you, the Levite, and the foreigner residing among you.
20 The old man said, "Peace to you! Let me take care of all your needs, but do not spend the night in the square."
15 But even before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man offering the sacrifice, ‘Give the priest some meat to roast; he won’t accept boiled meat from you, but only raw.’
