12But many of the priests, Levites, and family heads—the elderly who had seen the first temple—were weeping loudly when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy.

22'When their fathers or brothers come to us to complain, we will say to them, "Do us a favor by allowing them to have these wives, for we did not obtain wives for them during the battle. And you did not give your daughters to them, so you are not guilty of breaking your oath."'
8At that time, some Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews.
