8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
4If then you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? No, not one who shall be able to judge between his brethren?
15I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.
23Moreover, I call God as a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I did not come yet to Corinth.

5But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but in part, that I may not put too much burden on you all.
6The punishment inflicted by many is sufficient for such a person.
1I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,
13For in what way were you inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong.
14And if anyone does not obey our word in this letter, note that person and do not associate with him, that he may be ashamed.

21And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall mourn for many who have sinned already and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
