17In this love has been perfected among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world.
18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
19We love Him because He first loved us.
22And whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23And this is his commandment: that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24And he who keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.
3And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
18He who believes in him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

3I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die and live with you.
11Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I hope are well known also in your consciences.
12For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you an opportunity to boast on our behalf, so that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
10In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: whoever does not do righteousness is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother.
18Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honorably.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
6We are from God. He who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
3That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, so that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
22Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
4And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command you.
21And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
