23For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, who had struck him, and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore I will sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
7And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand.
3I beg You, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done what is good in Your sight. And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
